Let’s get to know the team behind the SPARKL technology!

This week, it’s Miklós Duma, technical writer and all-around testing genius. Miklós joined us from Hungary in late 2015, having spent four years at KPMG as a due diligence analyst. He has also worked on telecoms software documentation at Deftec.

Miklos

In a nutshell, what do you do?

I create and maintain the User Guide documentation, design video tutorials to help prospective customers understand how to use SPARKL. I also test the Developer Console for bugs.

Why did you join SPARKL?

Instead of an interview, I sat down for a workshop with Jacoby (CEO of SPARKL) to learn how SPARKL works and understand how the documentation should be built and treated - this got me more excited about the role.

I get to choose the software and tools I work with on a daily basis, which allows me to better plan and structure the User Guide. I really like the startup atmosphere too and I don’t feel like just “another” asset to the company.

What's your favourite part about your role?

I’m a naturally curious person. I like making sense of, and finding ways to explain, how certain functionalities work within SPARKL. When I’m writing up documentation, I’m learning something at the same time.

What makes you excited about the SPARKL Sequencing Engine?

It’s a very flexible technology and serves various industries in interesting ways. For me, SPARKL is a computer-esperanto language that might solve years-long vendettas between users of various programming languages.
