Let’s get to know the team behind the SPARKL technology!

This week, it’s Yev Vlasenko, the front-end developer at SPARKL. Yev is our proud Ukrainian import and joined the team after completing his masters in Computer Security at the University of Birmingham in 2014. He has worked on a range of systems, including a ballistic artillery simular.

Yev Vlasenko

In a nutshell, what do you do?

I’m the front-end developer at SPARKL. I work on the UX/UI on the SPARKL Developer Console, fixing bugs and making sure it works well. I also build demos for projects we’re working on, such as the Virtual Factory.

Why did you join SPARKL?

I joined the company way back in July 2014 - approximately 848 days ago at the time of writing! I was doing my masters in Computer Security at the time, saw Jacoby advertising on Stack Overflow and decided to apply out of curiosity.

What's your favourite part about your role?

I love doing front-end design - I spend far too many hours looking at cool stuff on Muzzli for inspiration. It’s a small team and we have fun.

What makes you excited about the SPARKL Sequencing Engine?

SPARKL solves real problems and can be applied to a number of challenges in banking and manufacturing. It’s very flexible and powerful in the way it expresses how systems work and interact.
